  BIOGRAPHY    The child of a Hannish soothsayer and an Eorzean soldier, Niranjana was born to Saesha and Fakhir in Radz-at-Han on a night when the moon hung high in a star-dappled sky. His upbringing was a happy one, the earliest years of his life were spent in their home in Kama. From his mother he saw the first sparks of magic in the world, taking to hiding away to observe her as she divined for her patrons in their parlor, conjuring their fates in shimmering visions that blanketed the room in constellations and nebulae. Hers was a beautiful and proud craft, one that he would later inherit. Niranjana’s father instilled a love for dance in him, the melodious and rhythmic man he was. He had arranged for the viera to study under the guidance of instructors from a prominent troupe, the Crimson Lotus, which Niranjana took to readily, so full of energy and excitement. The evenings Niranjana spent enraptured in his pursuit of dance hold some of his fondest memories.On the cusp of his maturity, his dancer’s training transitioned into bladework— chakrams, katar, throwing knives and even spears. Adept as he was, a seasoned swordsman himself, Fakhir’s pride in Niranjana swelled as he continued to excel in his studies. When the two weren’t engaged with matters of the blade and dance, they spent much time on the coast of The Bounty where Fakhir taught Niranjana how to fish and sail, where his love for the sea would blossom. At the same time Saesha had begun to introduce Niranjana to magical theory and aetheric application. The young viera took to her lessons in earnest, broaching topics like the Ring of Atma and its constellations, rune reading, scrying in both crystal and pools of water—all of it fascinated him and though he was not nearly as skilled at it as he was with a blade, Saesha would eventually reveal the root of her teachings to him: Hannish Startelling and the Sect of Startellers.Niranjana went on to perform as a leading dancer with the Crimson Lotus, touring with them briefly in Ul’dah and Limsa during his first trip to Eorzea with his father. While home in Radz-at-Han he continued his magical studies under his mother’s tutelage and some few members of the Sect. His father Fakhir remained in Ul’dah, planning to finally retire from the Immortal Flames before returning to Thavnair. Their reunion wouldn’t come to pass however, as in the wake of the Seventh Umbral Calamity befalling the realm, Fakhir chose to stay and fight with his brigade for the fate of the star. He would perish during Bahamut’s rampage inflicting a lasting wound on Saesha and Niranjana. Though years have passed, the grief of Fakhir’s death is still a visitor in both their lives, one which the two have chosen to embrace and grow with in their own ways. Presently, Niranjana travels between Ul’dah and Radz-at-Han frequently, still performing with the Crimson Lotus when he is not engaged in his own magical pursuits.

  STREET PERFORMER   Perhaps you've tipped him a gil or two in passing, maybe even lingered by the street side lured in by the vigor with which the dancer paces through his routine. Rest assured when the sun is high and there's naught else of importance on Niranjana's plate, you may just catch him performing for a jeering crowd. If he's ever caught your eye feel free to say hi!

  STARGAZER    If he is not pouring over books and star charts, Niranjana can often be found on rooftops or in sprawling fields with his observatory equipment. A fellow lover of the stars or student in astromancy would find friendly conversation in him.

  HOME TURF    Do you hail from Thavnair as well? You might've heard of the Crimson Lotus and their exploits in the area---fantastical performances showcasing the beguiling art of dance, their mastery of bladed battle. Niranjana still regularly performs with them though he is often in the area even if he's not taking center stage.

  BATTLE MEDIC    Though he is a bit green in the healing arts Niranjana enjoys testing his skills on those who prefer to flex theirs in an arena. Be it pit fighting or a bought between friends, the viera is happy to offer any much needed aftercare as needed. He's not above selling his healing services either. If you've the gil he has your remedy---hopefully.

  TO THE TIDES    Niranjana possesses a love of the sea born from his childhood spent sailing and fishing in The Bounty. When he's not home in Radz-at-Han or staying in Ul'dah, he often visits Limsa Lominsa to be closer to the shore. You're likely to find him there perusing the markets or on a dinghy fishing for a fresh catch.

This group of diviners and oracles is based in Radz-at-Han. They work closely with the governing body of the nation as advisors, tacticians and medics, their involvement with the former Satrap and now Vrtra being brought to light after the Final Days wreaked death and destruction on the land, many among them stepping up to aid those suffering and assist in the recovery efforts during the aftermath. Chief among them is a woman known as The Master Diviner, responsible for the oversight of their collective and conservation of a form of astromancy specific to the region: Hannish Startelling.Hannish Startelling in its infancy began as a form of magic that first appeared in ancient Ivalice, the secrets of the celestial bodies revealing themselves to a then Zodiac Brave known as Mullenkamp the Star Seer. Though the era of Ivalice would come to an end, much of its stories and myths thought to be lost to time, the Star Seer’s legacy would live on, spreading through Dalmasca and eventually making its way to Thavnair to sow the seeds of a new school of astromancy—a sister of sorts to the magic practiced by Sharlayan astrologians.
